I will now return to a familiar topic, as we just made another huge investment in the new Marvel STAR WARS series. First, we finally signed our contract for our exclusive Mile High Comics variant editions of STAR WARS (2015) #7-#12. We cannot yet show you the very cool preliminary sketch for the combined image that we just received on Friday, as it has not yet been approved by LucasFilms. What I can tell you, however, is that it represents well, our design concept of having six different rebel fighters attacking a central image of the Death Star. If you have not yet signed up for a subscription to our STAR WARS variant series, I urge you to do so right away. The advance orders that we carrying over from issue #6 are large enough that we would normally have already bumped up our price, but we decided to instead slightly increase our print runs on #7-#12 (to 4,000 copies per issue), so that we could keep our advance order price down to $19.95. Darth Vader Director's Cut #1 Star Wars Director's Cut #1 The second big investment that we made in Star Wars comics this week was to order over 1,000 copies of the STAR WARS (2015) #1 Director's Cut variant edition and the DARTH VADER (2015) #1 Director's Cut variant edition. If the solid demand that we are seeing right now for all the other Star Wars variant editions is any indication, these are going to very quickly be in very high demand, too. With six Star Wars films now planned over the next five years, we anticipate that the Marvel Star Wars titles could easily be out-selling their entire superhero line within a very short period. Poker Winners I'll close today's newsletter with a quick mention that we had 53 players participate in our first Mile High Comics Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament on Saturday. We all had so much fun that I have already tentatively planned our second tournament for Saturday morning, August 1st. If you are anywhere near Denver that day, you are invited to play!
