I checked with Lynne this morning as to whether my earlier projection for us being completely current on our shipping of orders by tomorrow afternoon was still accurate, and was delighted to discover that it remains completely valid! For the first time in over three months, we will be shipping all orders received through 6:00 AM tomorrow by tomorrow afternoon. That will allow us to finally return to our traditional pattern of being slightly behind at the beginning of each week (due to weekend orders...), but then returning to being completely caught up by each Friday afternoon. I cannot begin to express to you just how much it pleases me for us to be returning to providing you with our historic level of excellent service. A very nice side benefit to our returning to being completely current in our shipping of orders is that I can now also return the members of Pam's inventory staff that we commandeered to help us catch up our shipping backlog. Their added efforts should increase even further the size and breadth of what we can offer you in our daily New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock listings. While the thousands of comics which Pam's team has been adding into our New-In-Stock links have certainly provided some of the incentive for these new orders, we are also experiencing an across-the-board increase in demand for older comics and magazines, with a special emphasis on comics published during the Bronze Age (1976-1982) and Copper Age (1983-1991). Prices on most issues released during those two time periods are on the rise, so if you have any holes in your collection of those titles that you need to fill, I encourage you to do so right away.
