Howdy!

Bill with Wall of Comics
in Jason Street Mega Store
A shorter newsletter than usual today, as I have to participate in a real estate "closing" in just one hour. After 9 months of work, I was able to work out a long term financing deal for our new Jason St. warehouse, at a low interest rate. This new loan really helps to set my mind at ease, as it also eliminates a substantial additional payment that was due to the sellers (who carried the original loan for us...) in September. Whew!

Making my day even brighter is the fact that we are now making substantial progress toward ringing the entire retail portion of the Jason St. Building with one linear mile (!!!) of Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze Age comics. The wall shown above was the first installment, but as the photo below reveals, we now have a second section in place. Put together, these two wall displays of old comics constitute about 8% of the 10,000+ pre-1980 comics that will constitute the final total. Suffice it to say, this vintage comics display project that we are working on in Jason St. will be incredibly cool to view in person when it is entirely finished!

Two Walls of Comics
My final comment about Jason St. is that those of you planning to attend tomorrow's Open House and Auction should try to get there early. We are simultaneously holding a pre-release tournament for the new MAGIC THE GATHERING AVACYN RESTORED, which will begin at noon.  We are anticipating that the MAGIC tournament (alone) will draw in about 100 players. We have 40 dedicated parking spaces in our Jason St. lot, so late arrivals will need to find street parking, which is certainly available in the neighborhood, but may require a short walk. We open Jason St. tomorrow at 10 AM, with the auction starting at noon. We're located at 4600 Jason St, which is just two blocks off of the Intersection of I-70 and Pecos St. I will be bringing lots of donuts and coffee for early arrivals. Call 303-477-0042 for directions to this incredible Denver comics event!

FF #48
On a related note, I did want to quickly mention that Pam just yesterday purchased yet another really solid Silver Age (1956-1975) comics deal, including DAREDEVIL #1, FANTASTIC FOUR #12 and #48, and AVENGERS #4, just to name a few. I am having Lynne attach a portion of the initial listing of this one fantastic collection for you at the end of this newsletter, but you will need to visit today's New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links to see all of the comics we have added for you during just the past 24 hours. I added up the numbers yesterday, and we have added a net 35,000 back issues into our website's inventory for you during just the past 21 days! If you live near Denver, it might I interest you to know that all the comics from Pam's great new Silver Age collection will be on display tomorrow at the Jason St. Mega-Store.

Daredevil #1
A question that I have been asked frequently of late is when our ongoing 50% Off MADNESS! codeword is going to end for all of our online fans. In all honesty, I do not know. Pam has purchased nine major collections of older comics over the past three weeks, which means that even the robust sales that we have been recently experiencing have not yet had any kind of a negative impact on our website comics selection. Quite the opposite in fact, as the extra revenues from the half price MADNESS! codeword sale have actually been covering the entire cost of Pam's purchases. That being the case, it is only my concerns about the possibility of a sudden spike in our sales that might result from next week's release of the AVENGERS movie that makes me hesitant to commit to keeping the MANDESS! sale in effect for you for an extended period. I'll let you know by the end of next week if the 50% off MADNESS! sale is going to end soon... (please keep in mind the codeword does not apply to new comics, trade paperbacks, hard covers, graphic novels, CGCs, treasury sized items, statues, or supplies)

My final item for today is a giveaway offer on the three main first printings of AVENGERS VS X-MEN #3. We are now effectively out of all the free copies we had of all the other printings of earlier and related issues from this hit series that I mentioned in my previous newsletters, so I highly encourage those of you seeking to keep your collections complete to get your orders in for these copies of AVENGERS VS X-MEN #3 immediately. Pick any one of the three as a reward for placing a $20 order with us, or all three first printing variations free for placing a $50 order. Just ask for your free issues in the "notes" section of our online order form. We will begin shipping orders containing the issue #3 editions on Wednesday, which is the official release date...

Happy Collecting!
