I am feeling very blessed this morning, as we just received word that we actually did receive our entire reorder of J.Scott Campbell's variant edition of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31! As you may recall from one of my newsletters of last week, the J. Scott Campbell variant was being shown as totally sold out by Marvel, but with a the possibility that a few copies might remain in Diamond's "local reorder" system. Even though that possibility was remote, I asked Will Moulton to go ahead and place a reorder for us, anyway. I'm not certain how it happened, but (for once...) a local reorder actually worked... The reason I am making a big deal out of our receiving more copies of the J. Scott Campbell SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31, is that it has a corresponding variant of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1. When those two J.Scott Campbell variant covers are then put together, they form a single very cool image. That is a good outcome, but really matters is that I believe that it is highly likely that there were far more copies printed of J. Scott's AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 variant, than of his SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31 variant. In theory, since many will then be sold as matched sets, that dramatically lower print run should lead to at least spot shortages of the SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #31 variant.
