Star Wars Comics News Howdy! The commercial truck rental company that we are using for our epic move out of our 56th Ave. headquarters building finally brought us our 26' moving truck at 3:30 this afternoon. We had hoped to get started with the bulkier aspects of our relocation efforts earlier in the day, but at least we had quite a few pallets already lined up to go when the truck arrived. Then, of course, a very wet spring snowstorm had to hit Denver, just as we started loading the truck. Sigh... FYI, the pallets in the photo below are only a single layer, as they contain comics boxes with title cards, which we are unwilling to damage by stacking. Starting tomorrow, our pallets will be five layers deep with boxes containing no cards, with about 13,000 comics per pallet. With 12 pallets fitting inside the truck, we will be able to move about 150,000 comics with each truckload we haul between our buildings. Whew! Line of Pallets In the meantime, while we are moving large masses of comics over to Jason St. , Lynne and Pam are doing a remarkable job of shipping orders that we have been receiving from our website. Our order backlog has been diminishing all week, so if you have been waiting to hear about an order you recently placed with us, we should have a confirmation for you soon. STAR WARS: POE DAMERON #1 Moving on to comics news, STAR WARS: POE DAMERON #1 is scheduled to release next Wednesday. Initial retailer orders on this title have been quite a bit lower than what we experienced with the STAR WARS (2015) titles that were released throughout last year. I think that is a significant mistake, as the boom in demand for all STAR WARS titles is still in itís infancy. Once Disney has released another couple of STAR WARS universe movies, I think that you will see demand for all STAR WARS back issues rising rapidly, especially on titles like this one that have inordinately small print runs. Another STAR WARS title releasing soon is STAR WARS: C3PO #1. Yet another sleeper... STAR WARS: C3PO #1 On a related topic, our commitment to publishing a Mile High Comics variant edition for every single issue of STAR WARS (2015) continues to be unwavering. We are about to celebrate our 20th consecutive STAR WARS variant edition, which is an all-time record for any retailer supporting any comics title.
