Free ALL-NEW X-MEN #7 and #8 Variant Editions Howdy! As you are probably already aware, this is the first of my newsletters to be posted only to our website. This rather radical change came about because I was made aware of the fact that the format of my newsletters was no longer working in the present incarnation of the digital age. Simply put, my lengthy writings were causing a disproportionate percentage of our newsletters to be shunted into "Spam" by many ISP's. Others were simply being discarded by the recipients, primarily because they could not be easily read on iPhones and other handheld computers. Sigh... Whatever the case may be, I have survived all these decades in the comics business by being willing to adapt to whatever changes are necessary. With that thought in mind, I will be continuing to write my long newsletters, and perhaps even expanding them to include more information and artwork now that I have the freedom of a fixed hosting spot. I will seek to create them based upon your desires and feedback, however, so if you would like to send me your thoughts, please do so at chuck@milehighcomics.com. Moving on to the news from today, Pam and Josh spent the better part of this week adding 20,000 more comics into our New-In-Stock listings. Of particular interest to those of you seeking bargains is the fact that they had about 5,000 newer Marvel and DC comics where we already had plenty of copies available in both NM and VF, so they went ahead and downgraded those issues for you into Fair, Good, or VG, depending on where we needed to fill in holes in our online offerings. This is not to say that if you order lower grade copies from us that you will always receive a higher than expected grade, but I will say that your odds have been significantly enhanced by Pam and Josh's efforts of this week. As an aside, even though these newly created lower grade comics are priced for at only $1-$2 each, they are still eligible for our ongoing 30% off SUNSHINE codeword discount. That means that even a moderate order can provide you with many hours of enjoyable reading. Only new comics (published during the past 9-12 months...) and books are exempt from the SUNSHINE codeword sale. Another exciting bit of news is that our new comics specialist, Will Moulton, was able to score 100 copies each of the scarce 50th Anniversary Variant Editions of both ALL-NEW X-MEN #7 and ALL-NEW X-MEN #8. This title has been the single most popular of all the Marvel Now! relaunches, so these variants are particularly desirable, and also quite hard to get. Thanks to Will's smart purchasing, however, we can offer you these variants completely for free if you place a $30 order with us (for your choice of one free variant), or a $50 for both. Just ask for your free ALL-NEW X-MEN #7 and #8 varaints in the "notes" section of our online order form. I am thinking that we may run out of these variants pretty quickly, however, so please do try and get your qualifying order in to us ASAP. #7 50th Ann #8 50th Ann In other news, we are getting really excited about the fact that we have two exclusive Mile High Comics variants releasing next Wednesday. We had already known that we were receiving our copies of the Humberto Ramos WOLVERINE (2013) #1, but had not expected to see our copies of SHRUGGED #1 from Aspen for another week. If you would like to order these right now through our website that's just fine, but please be aware that we cannot actually ship them to you until Wednesday morning.
