60% Off NANETTE Codeword Sale All Books and Comics ! Howdy! I am going to take a far different path today than I originally planned. Effective immediately, I am starting a new 60% off NANETTE codeword sale for you on all of our back issue comics and magazines, as well as all of our trade paperbacks and hardback books. It had been my intention to forego any such steep discount sales for at least the next couple of months, but when you are running a small family-owned business circumstances sometimes change, and you have to adapt on the fly. In this instance, we are awaiting a refinancing from our commercial bank, Unfortunately, there have been an interminable number of delays, mostly as a result of new ownership of the bank. This has put an unexpected cash squeeze on us, just a couple of weeks from when our cash obligations are already scheduled to drop dramatically. In the meantime, however, my long-suffering wife, Nanette, is trying to deal with more obligations than she can pay. As much as I do not want to sacrifice some of our best comics and books at 60% off, I really have no choice right now if I want to alleviate Nanette's stress. Sigh... While it is disquieting for me to have to initiate a steep discount sale on such short notice, there are a couple of positive aspects to my decision that helped me get past my initial reluctance. First, by covering Nanette's short-term obligations by liquidating some of our back issue comics and book inventory, we do actually diminish our refinancing needs. Thus, when our bank does finally come through for us, we may be able to negotiate slightly better terms. That should help us to recover some of the discounts that we will be giving up during this new 60% off NANETTE codeword sale. Of far more importance to you, however, is the fact that I have been locating even more hard to find back issue comics and trade paperbacks in our new Jason St. warehouse. As a case in point, I spent seven hours on Saturday disassembling a huge pallet of comics that I shipped back from New York in October. Aside from selecting 5,000 post-1982 comics for immediate grading, I also discovered over 600 pre-1982 issues, including a copy of GREEN LANTERN (1960) #1, in "Fine" condition! While such key back issue comics gems are rare, I am certain that I can easily locate at least 10,000 more excellent back issues for you this week from among the 750,000 that we have waiting to be sorted in Jason St., so it isn't as though this steep discount sale will materially harm our website inventory. At 60% off we will be selling many of our comics and books to you at barely above what we paid for them, but if that sacrifice takes pressure off of Nanette for the next couple of weeks, then it is a sacrifice well worth making. All other considerations aside, taking care of my family is always takes precedence over business... As regards the parameters of this 60% off NANETTE codeword sale, they are as follows: all of our back issue comics, magazines, and backlist trade paperbacks and hardbacks are included for you in the codeword sale. Newer comics and recently published books, supplies, statues, and oversize items (including CGC graded comics) are not eligible for the codeword discounts. All other of our eight million back issues and books are yours for the taking at 60% off. Free shipping is also available on all back issue orders to locations in the USA for $30, or more, and all shipments to International destinations of $60, or more. Oversize and extra-heavy items are not eligible for this free shipping offer, as we do have to charge exact cost. We also add a small per book surcharge on trade paperbacks and hardbacks to all destinations, but only enough to cover about half of the average cost of shipping. Our goal is to provide you with either completely free shipping, or to significantly subsidize your cost of shipping, on all orders over the minimums. Enjoy!
