Earth's first off-world colony, Tranquility, once thought to be the greatest human achievement, is in ruin. All contact with Earth has been lost; the supply ships stopped years ago. Civilization has degraded to something similar to the Old West. Where there was once government, there are now gangs and corruption. Only the corporation known as the Merkaid has seemed to last throughout the years, and they are trying to seize control of the population for good. Fear and hunger fill the air, with only one glimmer of hope on the horizon - rumors that there is another man calling himself Marshal, and he is beginning to fight back.
