Chronos, the Time Thief strikes again! "Weapon Watches of the Time-Wise Guy" is written by Gardner Fox and drawn by Gil Kane and Sid Greene. Across the world, a clockmaker behind the Iron Curtain sets into motion a series of events destined to impact the life of the Mighty Mite! In each of six clocks, the clockmaker puts a jewel he hopes to smuggle to America where his daughter lives. But a train wreck puts their ownership in doubt. When prison escapee Chronos finds the clocks up for auction, he can't resist buying two. Soon he finds the jewels inside and sets out to rob the other bidders of their clocks.
One of those bid winners, Ray Palmer soon tries to put an end to Chronos' crime spree as the Atom. But the Time Thief's gadgets almost prove too much for him! Also, in the back up story "I Accuse Ray Palmer .. of Robbery," Murphy Anderson joins the art team. Circumstances conspire to make Palmer a key suspect in a rare coin robbery. Only by the power of his size reduction can the Atom find the true thieves and clear his alter ego's name! This is Silver Age quality at its best!
