STRANGE ADVENTURES (1950) (#1-244) (DC) #244 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Strange Adventures (1950) #244
Final issue. Starring Adam Strange. "The Powerless Weapons of Adam Strange!" is written by Gardner Fox with art by Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella. This classic tale of Adam Strange finds our hero pitted against one of his most persistent foes: Jakarta of Rynthar, a dust devil who always seems to be one step ahead of him. Not knowing that the villain has escaped the special prison Adam arranged for him, the hero of Rann is surprised when Jakarta shoves him aside, allowing the Zeta Beam to strike him instead.

Instantly transported to Rann by the beam, Jakarta begins a reign of terror there. And while Adam tries to find a weapon to combat him upon his return, the dust devil is ready for his counter-attack and splits himself in two. It seems the dusty foe has an answer for every weapon Adam tries to use against him! Then, an atomic researcher is captured in the Pacific Ocean and taken to an island of super-intelligent giant parakeets! "Prisoner of the Parakeets!" is written by John Broome with art by Henry Sharp and Bernard Sachs (originally presented in Strange Adventures #52).
