MARVEL TALES (1964) (#1-291) #92 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Marvel Tales (1964) #92
"They Call The Doctor...Octopus!" is written by Gerry Conway and drawn by John Romita with art assists by T. Mortellaro and Jim Starlin. Originally presented in Amazing Spider-Man #113. The Kingpin is gone; long live the new king of crime in New York! Dr. Octopus wants to fill that vacuum as does his new rival, Hammerhead. To that end, the evil doctor has outfitted his gang with some high-tech weaponry including strength-enhancing body harnesses.

Wracked by stomach pain from what surely is an early-stage ulcer, Spidey barely escapes Dr. Octopus and his crew. But soon he's drawn back into the gang war when Doc Ock makes his opening move against Hammerhead. Sickened and weak and worried about his missing Aunt May, Peter has to put all of that aside to take up the fight. Can our web-slinging hero defeat Dr. Octopus, who is highly motivated and at the height of his power?
