LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES (1980) (#259-354) (DC) #263 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Legion of Super-Heroes (1980) #263
"Day of Judgment" is written by Gerry Conway with art by Jimmy Janes and Dave Hunt. An impromptu visit by the parents of Ultra Boy, Shadow Lass, Chameleon Boy and Shrinking Violet to the new Legion headquarters becomes the prelude to disaster as their invitations soon are revealed to be a trap. Rather than finding their loving children inside waiting for them, the proud fathers and mothers find an armored madman who calls himself Dagon, the Avenger. Vowing vengeance on the Legion for some as-yet unrevealed wrong, Dagon sets up on the group and subdues and captures each with superior technology and skill.

When the Legion returns to their headquarters, unaware of any visit by their parents, they discover signs of a struggle and a quick check-in with the United Planets' authorities confirms that their parents did indeed arrive there earlier in the day although no sign of them now exists. More, other parents of the Legion have turned up missing elsewhere. Turning to their resident tracker Dawnstar, the Legionnaires fear the worst and wonder why the security devices at their newly rebuilt headquarters didn't warn them of an invader. While Light Lass and Tyroc ferret out the reason behind that mystery, Dagon reveals himself to the Legion and delivers his demands: 1 billion solar credits within 24 hours or his hostages will die!
