JUSTICE LEAGUE (2011) (#0-52) (DC NEW52) #1 3RD PRINT - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Justice League (2011) #1
Premiere issue. “Justice League” part one. Ever since DC Comics (then National Periodicals) revived the Justice Society of America in the early 1960s as the Justice League of America, the JLA has been the centerpiece book for the DC Universe, featuring the core crises that shaped the reality for the rest of the comic publisher’s super-hero titles. As the “New 52” re-launch restarts the Justice League legend, fans get to see how writer Geoff Johns and artist Jim Lee imagine the group coming together with members that are younger, less world-wise and more suspicious of each other than any other formation of the team in years past.

As the Batman tracks a monster from a strange planet he’ll later come to know as Apokolips, the Gotham City P.D., in turn, hunts him. The chase comes to a fiery conclusion on an abandoned rooftop as GCPD helicopters fire on the Dark Knight even as he tries to neutralize the alien threat. Enter Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, to shed his incredible emerald light into Gotham’s shadowy world. Needless to say the two crime-fighters have very different styles of meting out justice but they unite in their opinion that the Apokolips threat should be brought up to the newest hero in Metropolis, the alien powerhouse called Superman!
