FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) (#1-416) (MARVEL) #87 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Fantastic Four #87
More pop art mayhem from Jack "The King" Kirby and Stan "The Man" Lee. "The Power and the Pride" opens with the FF having survived an attack by Dr. Doom thanks to the timely arrival of the Invisible Woman. But standing at the gates of Castle Doom in Latveria, the quartet plus the beautiful Inhuman Crystal find themselves prisoners of the madman monarch. Inside the fortress, the Nazi Hauptmann confronts Doom's portrait artist. Is he really an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. sent to spy on Victor Von Doom even as he paints his likeness on canvas?

Meanwhile, Doom prepares a proper welcome for his hated foes. High-tech death traps and robot soldiers provide but a brief obstacle for the likes of Mr. Fantastic, the Human Torch and the Thing. But, separated from the men, Sue Richards and Crystal aren't prepared for Doom's wildest trap yet a sumptuous banquet set out by the land's finest chefs. Victor Von Doom is a man of cultured taste. But his civility is always tinged with poison just as his grand piano hides a deadly sonar blast device. Don't miss the shocking ending of this tale of Dr. Doom -- a man, his menace and the twisted morality he calls his own.
