CAPTAIN AMERICA (1968) (#100-454) (MARVEL) #386 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Captain America (1968) #386
Guest-starring U.S.Agent. "For Righteousness's Sake" is written by Mark Gruenwald and drawn by Ron Lim and Danny Bulanadi. In the early 1990s as now, a vocal and increasingly violent percentage of Americans felt that the country was going in the wrong direction and that drastic action was needed to bring it back in line with certain principles they felt were what the Founding Fathers had envisioned. Such a group is the Watchdogs, masked vigilantes who have taken to kidnapping, brainwashing and even murder to "clean up" American culture.

Bernie Rosenthal, Cap's ex-girlfriend, has been taken captive by the Watchdogs and after following them discretely to their remote wooded headquarters, Cap sneaks in to see if he can discern the best way to rescue her and other hostages without any bloodshed. Unfortunately, U.S.Agent doesn't have any such compunction and as he crashes through the roof of the encampment, the ex-Avenger decides it's time to get revenge for his parents' death at the hands of the Watchdogs! Then, Diamondback finds herself fighting alone against three of her former colleagues from the Serpent Society in "Snake Heist" (written by Gruenwald and drawn by Dan Panosian).
