BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS (1983) (#1-32) (DC) #24 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Batman and the Outsiders #24
"I Went to the Animal Fair" is written by Mike Barr and drawn by Alan Davis. A day at the zoo would be a nice, relaxing way to unwind for anyone other than the Outsiders. Behind the candy, balloons, serene setting and exotic animals, seethes a conflict between Metamorpho and his former employer, Simon Stagg. Metamorpho, a.k.a. Rex Mason, is in love with Stagg's daughter Sapphire and the multi-millionaire businessman doesn't approve. Their struggle bubbles to the surface amid a terrorist attack on the zoo.

A leftist group, called the Liberators, rounds up the zoo visitors and holds them hostage to protest a society that pampers animals while allowing its poor to starve. Whatever their cause, they couldn't have counted on the Outsiders being among those they've held captive. Meanwhile, Halo seeks out friendship and a sense of belonging among the mysterious residents of a town called Eden, led by the man called Brother Abraham.
