Comics and Books For Christmas Howdy! I hope that your holiday is starting off as well as ours here at Mile High Comics. We are as busy as the elves at Santa's workshop right now, shipping orders filled with comics and books to destinations all over the world. You would think that would be a stressful effort, but thanks to the heroic efforts of our Vice President for Operations, William Murakami, we have kept up with this year's holiday rush quite well. Guardians of the Galaxy Annual For those of you who have not yet placed your holiday orders with us, I urge you to do so immediately. While our internal operations are running very smoothly, I worry about our shippers abilities to deliver packages in time for the holidays. Simply put, UPS, FedEx, and the USPS all experienced major delays just before Christmas last year. Projections are that holiday package shipments from all sources will rise by 11%-13% this year, which may be beyond the shippers ability to handle. That being the case, ordering at least ten days ahead of when you need delivery is critical. Need I say more? GOTG Annual Interior Pages In other news, yet another excellent shipment of trade paperbacks and hardbacks arrived for our website inventory on Wednesday. We now have in stock more comics-related trade paperbacks and hardback books than at any other moment in our history. That selection of 250,000+ volumes will begin to gradually diminish next week, however, as we sell down our on-hand stock during the last of the holiday season. With discounts of 20%-50% off still listed on all of the books that we have on our website, our book sales have been very brisk this week... We do not engage in that very irritating game that some major retailer websites play, of offering books at steep discounts, but then back ordering them for weeks because they don't actually have them available in their warehouse. We just finished spending four months auditing our books, so I can assure you that we have 99.99% accuracy right now on those 250,000 books that we are offering you. That includes all 700 of those incredible Marvel and DC titles that we are offering right now at half of cover price. Will and Pam have been adding over 1,000 comics into our online inventory every week that were previously showing as out-of-stock, so our website inventory is getting better for you by the day.
