Free HARLEY QUINN Variants by J. Scott Campell

Howdy!

As I anticipated, the commencement of our annual 50% off HOLIDAY! codeword sale in Wednesday's newsletter resulted in an instant surge in our website traffic. The number of back issue comics orders placed with us increased by a factor of five times overnight, which is about right when we slash all of our prices in half. That having been said, I never take that kind of very positive response for granted, so I want to personally thank each and every one of you who has placed an order with us this week. Your support of our HOLIDAY! sale is sincerely appreciated.

If you are wondering why I would drop all of our comics and book prices in half after already having reduced them so much last April, my motivation can be found in the pressing need I have to reduce the number of comics that we will have to be moving over the next couple of months. As you have probably already heard, we have our 56th Ave. headquarters up for sale, and hope to have it sold by March 31st. That leaves me only 110 days in which to pack up a 29-year accumulation of comics, books, toys, posters, cards, statues, etc. Simply put, the more comics that we sell prior to our move, the better.

On the flip side of this equation, we are moving our entire online operation into the back of our Jason St. Mega-Store. In theory, this should not be difficult, as 56th Ave. is "only" 22,000 square feet, while we have a total of 65,000 square feet at Jason St. While some of the space in Jason St. is already being intensively utilized, there are many areas in the back of the building where we can clean up and consolidate, creating more than enough room to fit in the six million comics currently stored in 56th Ave.

All of the above having been said, coordinating our move is going to require extreme effort on my part, and also a significant amount of money for moving costs. We should ultimately be able to recover 100% of those moving costs from the sale of the building, but in the meantime, we are having to pay for all of them out-of-pocket. That, in a nutshell, is why I am offering you your pick of any of our ten million back issue comics that we list on our website right now at half price via the HOLIDAY! codeword, and why I also asked Will Moulton to slash all of our graphic novels and trade paperbacks prices in half for you on our website. You can benefit enormously right now when you take advantage of our 50% off HOLIDAY! codeword sale, and also help us with covering some of our moving costs. Thank you!

I will close today's newsletter on a positive personal note, by letting you know that after a medical procedure performed last Monday, my beloved wife, Nanette, seems to finally be recovering from a dreadful illness that has been afflicting her since last June. She had been suffering from an antibiotic-resistant bacterial infection called C. diff, that prevented her from eating most foods. She subsequently lost over 30 lbs, and became quite frail. Suffice it to say, all of us were extremely worried about her, and are quite relieved that her medical procedure seems to have finally defeated this awful illness. As a family, we could not have asked for a more wonderful Christmas present than Nanette's good health returning!

Happy collecting!

P.S. Wikipedia reports that over 29,000 people died in the USA last year from C. diff, so it is a quiet epidemic of which most people are not aware. Most people pick it up in doctor's offices and hospitals, where it lives on many surfaces. If you have a loved one who visits a medical facility and soon thereafter presents symptoms similar to food poisoning, have them tested for C. diff. It is especially prevalent among people who have recently undergone an antibiotic regimen for another illness. Even with treatment, C. diff has a 9% mortality rate among the elderly, so it is to be taken very seriously.
