Mile High Comics Is Buying + The BESTIVAL Festival is Saturday Howdy! I want to begin today by mentioning that I have just this week authorized our three retail store managers to begin (slowly) buying a few collections of comics, toys and books. If you have a collection that you might be interested in selling, you should stop by your favorite Mile High Comics location, and let us know what you would like to to sell. I cannot guarantee that we will buy your collection, as we do still have to be very careful and judicious in our buying, but at least we're open to beginning a few discussions. In other news, sign-ups have already begun for our next Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament. It will be held at our Jason St. Mega-Store on Saturday morning, October 3rd, beginning at 11 AM. The buy-in is $25, with all the proceeds from the tournament being donated to Urban Peak, a wonderful organization that helps homeless teens. The first prize is a $1,000! gift certificate to Mile High Comics, with smaller certificates for places #2-#5. Wouldn't it be fun to shop for the holidays at one of our stores with a $1,000 spending budget, and also know that you helped to buy warm clothing and toiletries for kids who have no place to live but on the streets? My final bit of news for today is a reminder about the ground-breaking BEASTIVAL Festival being held at our Jason St. Mega-Store this Saturday evening, beginning at 6 PM.
