Labor Day Comics and Toy Sale Howdy! It is time for our long-awaited annual Labor Day sale at our Mile High Comics Retail Stores! Here are the important details this year: 50% Off All Back Issue Comics 50% Off All Trades and Hardbacks 50% Off All Toys and Action Figures 40% Off All Statues 40% Off All Hats, Caps, Shirts Sale begins on Friday, ends at close of day on Monday. Our stores will be open regular hours for the weekend, and also on Monday. The limitations on the sale are no new comics or books, no CGC-graded comics, and no Mile High variants. We do also have a few comics in Jason St. priced with blue stickers that are excluded. Sale is for in-stock items only, and does not include items from our website, or any special orders. That having been said, the vast majority of what we offer in our stores is available to you at half price sale during this one amazing weekend. Enjoy! Underground Comics In other news, we will be hosting a very important no-minimum-bid auction comics and toy auction on Saturday, September 12th starting at 11:30 AM. This auction will consist of two parts, with the primary focus being a huge sale of Silver Age comics, Underground Comics, Collectible Non-Sports Card Sets, Action Figures, Statues, and Original Comics Art for Mile High Comics. In addition, however, we will be selling a large number of items for the White Rose Scholarship Fund, a long-standing Denver charitable organization that helps qualified people to cover tuition costs. Tons of Cards So you know, the White Rose Scholarship Fund has experienced some difficulties recently, so they are very much in need of donations for this auction. If you have some collectibles that you might be willing to donate to the benefit of the scholarship fund, we will auction them for you and donate 100% to White Rose. If you donate, we can also arrange for you to receive a 501-C3 tax certificate that allows you to deduct the fair market value of your auction donation. For the White Rose portion of the auction we very much need donations of comics, toys, art, statues, or anything else you might be willing to bring us. Mile High Comics will be donating $500 in items to the White Rose portion of the auction, but we definitely need more items. Everyone who works for White Rose is a volunteer, and no one gets paid a cent. Please donate, as the White Rose folks are really good group of people, working hard to help others.
