3,400 Comics - More High Grade Silver and Bronze Age

Howdy!

I skipped writing a newsletter on Wednesday, as I was helping to coordinate our adding of 10,000+ high grade comics into our inventory destined for the San Diego Comic-Con. Those comics arrived just in time, as they originated from that huge single-owner collection that I purchased in New Mexico last week. It was quite a scramble to get them all sorted and priced, but thanks to the efforts of over a dozen hard-working Mile High Comics staffers, we were able to get the job (mostly) done. To give you sense of how hard we've all been working, I was still at Jason St. pricing older Spider-Man (1963) issues at 10:30 last night...

Spider-Man (1963) #124

One factor that slowed us down a bit was that we only packed issues for the convention that were already represented in our website inventory. If any given issue was presently showing as out-of-stock on the website, we pulled it aside and put it into a separate area for Pam and Josh to grade and enter while we are in California. That number of out-of-stock comics exceeded 6,000 total issues, so Pam and Josh are going to be very busy next week!

Batman (1940) #240

Actually, both Pam and Josh keep busy every day, but most especially during those periods after we purchase large collections. Between Monday and Wednesday, for example, Pam added over 3,400! comics into our website inventory. What makes Pam's accomplishment even more significant is that most of the comics that she graded were scarce higher grade Silver Age and Bronze Age titles, which require extra scrutiny and care. Pam's efforts are far from done, as we have another 5,000 older comics remaining for her to grade, as well as all 6,000 of those newer out-of-stock issues. Whew!

GI Combat (1957) #170

If you would like to peruse a listing of Pam's additions from the last two weeks, I encourage you to visit today's Premium New-In-Stock link. Pam's list is remarkably extensive, with many thousands of rare issues listed. As I mentioned on Monday, it has been many years since we have had so many high grade Silver Age and Bronze Age comics arrive in such a short period of time.

Green Lantern (1960) #99

I will close with a reminder that our annual 50% off SANDIEGO! Codeword sale is in effect for you until a week from Monday, when the convention ends. This generous half price sale applies to nearly all of the comics listed in today's New-In-Stock link, excluding only new issues, a few variants, and our CGC's.

Happy Collecting!

Mile High Comics HARLEY QUINN #1

P.S. We just received the final cover artwork (with trade dress) of our upcoming exclusive Mile High Comics HARLEY QUINN #1 variant edition. Greg and Mario are still accepting advance orders on this variant at only $19.95. As with all of our variants, there is a limit of three copies per client. I am taking care to mention our copy limit on this variant, as it looks like our HARLEY QUINN #1 will be a huge seller. There was a report in my news channel this morning that the experts are predicting a $120 million - $135 million opening weekend for the SUICIDE SQUAD movie, which would make it the highest-grossing film ever released in August. Greg and Mario can be reached by e-mail at nice@milehighcomics.com, or by phone (weekdays 9-5) at 303-455-2659. Copies will be priced at $24.95 on day of release, and may go up further immediately thereafter. Limited to 3,000 copies worldwide.
