Howdy!
We had a party last evening to celebrate the opening of the Denver Comic Con. In all honesty,
I was quite concerned about the prospects for our party going into this week, primarily because
we had nowhere near the energy to put into this massive undertaking this year that we have in years
past. Simply put, putting on this once-a-year party had nowhere near as much importance to us as
serving your needs. That is why we have focused all of our combined energies over the last eight weeks
into successfully completing our move from 56th Ave. into Jason St., and then catching up the order backlog
that resulted from our move. It was only after we were completely caught up with all aspects of that monumental
effort, that we shifted gears toward preparing for our party.
All of the previous having been said, after only a week of serious preparation, our party turned
out amazingly well! We had approximately 700 attendees, and they were universally complementary.
Our 35+ celebrity guests also told me that they had a really good time, and that they loved our
many improvements to the Mega-Store.
The New Era Profession Wrestling demonstration was also extremely
well received, so the entire evening went off without a hitch. It was really fun!
Our DCC booth before the show.
Moving on from our party, we have a very large booth to run at the Denver Comic-Con this weekend. Will,
Lynne, and Pam will be there all weekend, but I can only work at the convention today (Friday) because
Denver Comic Con and Denver Pride are on the same weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday I will be helping
to run the liquor booth in the dance pavilion of Pride for the Imperial Court Of the Rocky Mountain Empire.
The ICRME gets paid a considerable sum to operate this booth, which is a major annual fundraiser for our
organization. As Prince Royale 42, I am obligated to work both days for the ICRME, which I actually greatly
enjoy. If you do come to Denver Pride, stop by the booth and say "Howdy!" we are right next to the main stage
in the dance pavilion. I work in support (restocking liquor and ice for the 4 servers), so I may be in the back
of the booth, or by the ice cooler.

In other news, Pam and her assistant, Josh, continue to load up our
New-In-Stock and
Premium New-In-Stock
links for you with newly arrived and graded comics. They are averaging well over 1,000 comics per day, most
of which were previously out of stock. Even better, now that we are completely caught up with shipping, three
of our members of our order fulfillment team are also helping to sort, grade, and bag comics for Pam to enter
into New-In-Stock. Moving all of our back issues from 56th over to Jason was a monumental pain in the posterior,
but now that we are all in the same building, we are experiencing remarkable gains in our operating efficiencies.
Life is good!
Friday morning at DCC 2016
I will close today's newsletter with a quick reminder that our 50% off HALFPRICE! codeword is still in effect
for you on all of our ten million
back issue comics and magazines, including the vast majority of Pam's daily
additions to New-In-Stock. Only new comics, a few variants, and our CGC comics are excluded from the HALFPRICE! sale.
Happy collecting!
