Last Chance Comics Book Sale Howdy! Life continues to be very positive and constructive here at Mile High Comics, with new improvements coming online every day. That's a blessed relief, as restoring all of our services has been my #1 priority since we moved our online operations from 56th Ave. into our Jason St. Mega-Store. The good news is that our servers that run our website are continuing to run flawlessly, and our mainframe that powers all of our work stations is now hooked up throughout the new building. We have also made vast improvements in the layout and functionality of our inventory systems, which make locating comics for our online orders much faster and easier. As a direct result, our backlog of unshipped orders that resulted from our move is now melting away very quickly. With luck, Lynne is telling me that we will be totally current by the end of next week. That having been said, the one thorny issue that has yet to be resolved has been the installation of our new voice and data lines. Engineers from our new phone company were here today, and they say that getting us back on track will be really easy once their new fiber-optic lines have been run to our building. What they cannot tell us, however, is how soon those lines might be installed. Suffice it to say, not having high speed Internet (or multiple phone lines) after a month in the new building is beyond frustrating for all of us. If you do try to call us and no one answers, please hang up and try again in a couple of minutes. We are living with just two incoming lines right now, which is far too few for all the calls trying to get through. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Moving on to new about comics, we have been having wonderful good fortune in locating scarce back issues for inclusion in our New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock. Both Pam and Will have been adding hundreds of issues this week, including a slew of Silver Age and Bronze Age titles. A sampling of better titles that we just added to our website inventory is posted for you at the end of this newsletter. All of those issues are eligible for our new 40% off AWESOME! codeword discount except for books, new issues, a few variants, and our CGC-graded comics. Before I move on to my special discount offer for today, I did want to again mention that our free shipping minimums will be bumping up slightly beginning June 1st to help us to offset rate increases which we have been receiving from our shippers. Effective in June, domestic orders over $50 will receive free base shipping for comics, with International orders needing to be at least $125. I apologize for this slight increase, but something had to be done to offset those new costs. I will close with a special offer for you on 10 books from our super bargains list. These are books which have been on sale at extremely steep discount since last November, but where our remaining quantities on hand have now been reduced to the point that we are going to need to return them to their much higher list prices. Before we raise those prices back up, however, I am going to provide you with one last chance to order copies at the steep discount rate.
