Today, we can offer you free copies of all three main cover variants to
AVENGERS VS X-MEN #4,
as well as
AVENGERS VS X-MEN #0 (3rd printing)
and
#2 (2nd printing).
You can obtain any one of the five cover options simply by placing a minimum $20 order with us this week, or all five for any minimum $75 order. As per usual, just let us know in the "notes" area of our online order form exactly which variant covers you would like to receive for free.
In case you somehow missed it, AVENGERS VS X-MEN has turned out to be one of the most universally popular crossover stories ever released by Marvel Comics. Even with our having ordered exceptionally large quantities of all the cover variants of #0, #1, #2, and #3, we are now running very low in stock on all those issues. The same shortages are being reported to me by all the dealers with whom I have spoken on this trip to the East Coast, with several dealers telling me that they are already completely sold out. I see all these issues becoming increasingly hard to find over the next couple of months...
Speaking of sold out, I highly encourage those of you who like to anticipate back issue trends to pick up copies today of any appearances by Thanos. As many of you are already aware, he appears in the closing credits of the new AVENGERS movie. Need I say more? We have a short listing of comics featuring Thanos appearances at the end of this newsletter. We have many (but not all...) still in stock.
In other news, Pam's inventory team added over 25,000 more back issue comics, magazines, trade paperbacks, and comics hardbacks into our online listings for you last week. I spend hours each evening when I am on the road perusing our website, and I will guarantee you that we have made incredible progress over the past four months in broadening your purchasing options. As an aside, one area in which I am particularly pleased is in our recent vast expansion of our selection of Fine, and Very Fine, comics at great bargain prices. It is no secret in the comics industry that our grading on the upper end is exceptionally tight, with our VF comics oftentimes comparing well with other dealer's NM issues. With our ongoing 50% off MADNESS! codeword still allowing you to purchase a huge number of our VF issues for under $2 each, they are among the very best comics bargains that we offer. 'Nuff said... These two highly talented individuals will be attending our next Jason St. Mega-Store Open House and no-minimum-bid comics auction, which will be held this upcoming Saturday (May 19th), from 10 AM -3 PM. If you cannot attend our free Jason St. autograph session in person on Saturday, you can still have items signed by Roger and Raven for only $2 each, all the proceeds of which will go to help cover their travel costs. Simply order any comics or books that they have written from our website, and then let us know in the "notes" section of our order form which items you would like to have signed. Each signed item will then be sent to you with a very nice vellum paper certificate of authenticity. This is just one more way that we try to help those of you around the world who cannot visit us in person.
Well, that's it for today. I now need to spend the rest of the day in the Hot Flips Comics Supplies warehouse here on Long Island, building six 2,000 lb. pallets of comics for shipment back to Colorado on Thursday. That's a total of about 90,000 different back issue comics and magazines! Suffice it to say, this has been an exceptionally fruitful 12-day comics buying trip...
