New 30% Off Codeword Sale On Ten Million Comics
Howdy!
I am recovering this morning from the rigors of an amazingly productive weekend. After
expending the three days of frenetic effort required for this year's Free Comic Book Day,
I finally dropped off noted VENOM comics artist (and all-round nice guy!)
Sam de la Rosa
off at Denver's airport last evening. After restoring myself with a small bowl of soup,
I then went straight to bed, and slept for ten hours. I am feeling quite a bit better today,
but there is simply no question that Free Comic Book Day is one of the hardest events that
we host each year at
Mile High Comics.
Line for Sam de la Rosa.
All of the above having been said, I want to thank everyone who supported our FCBD efforts
this year. The sum of your kindness allowed us to present Jim Scharper, the founder of
"Feeding Denver's Hungry"
with donations exceeding $7,000. This money will help to buy desperately-needed food for the
600-800 elderly, disabled, and destitute people served each week by
FDH.
We also experienced a 40%+ increase in our own FCBD sales at
Jason St.,
which will help us to fund some much-needed improvements in the store. Thank you!
FCBD Crowd.
Before I leave the topic of FCBD, I did hear from a few fans around the country that there were
spot shortages of certain titles in some regions. So you know, we cut things very close, but
do still have 13 complete sets remaining out of the 150 sets that we pre-ordered to benefit
"Feeding Denver's Hungry."
Those 13 sets are available on a first come basis to anyone willing to make
$40 donation to "Feeding Denver's Hungry."
We also have a few
single issues
available for a $1 each, which is also a donation to
FDH.
Please just put in the "Notes" section of your order which titles you would like and the total you would like to donate.

Cambridge
I will close today's newsletter by letting you know that I am starting up a new 30% off codeword today:
KITTYPRIDE! That's a direct reference to Cambridge, our irrepressible store kitty who rules the roost at
Jason St.
Cambridge worked her tail off this weekend greeting the 2,500+ fans who stopped by
our store for Free Comic Book Day,
so I figured that she earned having a codeword named for her. The new 30% off discount applies to all
ten million of our
back issue comics and magazines,
excluding only new issues, a few variants, and our professionally graded comics.
Happy collecting!

President - Mile High Comics, Inc.
