Free Comic Book Day Variants plus New YouTube Video of Jason St.

Howdy!

With Free Comic Book Day now just 48 hours from commencement, the excitement is definitely building here at Mile High Comics. FCBD is our busiest day of the year, eclipsing even Black Friday in popularity, so this is a very big deal for us. In a nutshell, that is why we purchased 20,000 copies of this year's FCBD variants to give away. We had approximately two thousand fans attend our celebration here at Jason St. last year, and we expect a similar number on Saturday. Suffice it to say, we are going to be very busy that day.

ARCHIE FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

All of the above having been said, if you shop with us online, and would like to reserve free copies of some of the 2016 FCBD variants, you absolutely must place your order with us by tomorrow (Friday) at midnight. We will generate all of our online orders from Friday at the crack of dawn on Saturday, and set aside enough FCBD variants to fill all of those requests. Orders for FCBD variants received after midnight on Friday will only be honored of we have leftovers after our in-store attendees have taken their fill. Based upon our past experiences, that being the case is somewhat unlikely.

DC SUPERHERO GIRLS #1 MILE HIGH edition

In case you missed my earlier announcements, we are allowing everyone who shops online with us to request (in the notes) one Free Comic Book Day variant edition for each $10 in orders that they place. If you wish to receive a set of all 50 of this year's variants, we do still have a handful of complete sets available as a reward for placing a minimum $400 order. Sets will also include our own exclusive Mile High Comics variant of the very cool DC SUPERHERO GIRLS #1. If you wish to request our Mile High Comics variant by itself, it requires a minimum $30 order. In all instances, order minimums must be calculated after all discounts have first been deducted.

As an update on our moving progress, we finally were able to unsnarl the cluster that affected our phone lines for the past ten days, and all of our calls are now forwarding to our new location. The CenturyLink techs are supposed to be here later this afternoon, and tomorrow, installing our new direct lines. I apologize to those of you who received out of service messages when you called us, but control of this phone transition was out of our hands. Seldom have so many that we relied upon contributed so little...

BOB'S BURGERS FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

In other news, record numbers of packages are now flowing out the door from past orders. We are shipping three days for every one, but even based upon that rapid pace it is still going to take us several weeks to get completely current. if you have an order in the pipeline with us, please continue to be patient. All of our operating systems are now moved and functioning well. All we need at this point is the time that will be required to resolve our backlog. I sincerely thank you for your patience while we gradually recover from this epic move..

13-Minute You Tube Video

I will close today's newsletter with a plug for a brand new 13-minute YouTube video that we filmed on Wednesday. In the video, I provide you with a comprehensive tour through our new Jason St. shipping complex, and explain a few of the complexities that we ran into while trying to move six million plus comics, magazines, books, and all the fixtures required to store them. If you every had any question as to whether what we do is hard work, just watch this brief video, and then imagine having to move all that stuff in just four weeks. I can assure you that it was such a daunting exercise that I will never move Mile High Comics again.
