Free CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Promo Magazine

Howdy!

After a small hiatus, I am back with a Mile High Comics newsletter for you. The reason for my recent absence has nothing to do with illness, but is instead directly attributable to my ongoing efforts to merge our 6 million comics online inventory (which had previously resided in our 56th Ave. headquarters building), into our Jason St. Mega-Store. During just the past four days, I have personally delivered 12 truckloads of comics to Jason St., which in sum contained in excess of one million back issues! Even using pallets and pallet jacks, moving that many comic books requires a considerable degree of effort...

Another 500,000 comics shelved!

The good news is that all of our online order pulling files are now shelved in Jason St., and completely ready to go. This is a wonderful milestone for us to have achieved, as it means that we can now fill any order that we receive from our website with ease. That is not to say that we can then ship those orders, however, as we still need to move our packing tables, boxes, the machines, etc. over to Jason St. during this upcoming weekend. If all goes as planned, our online fulfillment will be back up and running early next week. That is really quite a remarkably quick transition, as it is akin to trying to paint a bus while it is barreling down the highway at full speed. Woo!

New racks going up. Each holds 200,000 comics!

In case you are wondering, what will be left for us to do next week is to disassemble all of our pallet racking, and to then fill pallets with all the odds-n-ends boxes that were stashed all over the old 56th Ave. building. I have a crew of professional movers coming in at the crack of dawn on Monday to break down steel, and to also help us to stage pallets of our unsorted comics and overstock. On Wednesday, the semi trailers that I rented will begin arriving, at the rate of one each hour. Each 53' trailer can hold 18-22 six-foot high pallets. My best guess is that we can fill at least ten trailers to the brim with overstock, but it may end up being as many as 20. There is just no getting around the fact that we own an unbelievable quantity of comics and magazines.

The final aspect of our move out of 56th that needs to be resolved is my immense collection of 8,500 pieces of rare Pueblo pottery. Norrie Reynolds (who was just elected Empress of the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire) has been packing my pottery for me for the past two months, and has about 40 of my 65 huge showcases emptied. Those last 25 cases have to be packed in the next nine days, and we will then need to use a fork lift to lower all of the empty showcases from their former home in our upstairs offices. This is the most delicate job imaginable, and has me quite concerned. Wish us luck...

I will now move on to a couple of nice offers for you. First, we are still honoring our 50% off TRUCKLOAD! comics and magazines codeword sale. Just insert the codeword "TRUCKLOAD!" into the line provided on our online order form, and our computer will automatically slash our list prices in half for you on all the qualifying items in your order. So you know, only new comics, a few variants, trades, hardcovers, and our CGC-graded comics are excluded from the half price TRUCKLOAD! sale. Otherwise, all ten million+ comics listed on our website are available to you for the next few days at half price.

My second offer is for a free copy of a beautiful new CAPTAIN AMERICA magazine that Marvel provided to us to promote the upcoming CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR movie.
