Two Complete Marvel Comics Runs - All Half Price
Howdy!

DD #1 CGC 9.0
|
I am blessed to have a number of friends in the community of comics dealers, especially along the East Coast, and in New England. I know that they are wondering why I haven't been to visit them lately, as I have been undertaking comics buying expeditions into that region of the country on a very regular basis for the last four years. The answer to their question is very simple: we have been buying an incredible number of great comics right here in Denver! Just to cite one example of the deals we have been buying, a collection of
DAREDEVIL (1964) #1-#200
walked into the warehouse on Tuesday afternoon, including a
CGC 9.0 copy of #1!
If that one
DAREDEVIL
collection was the only grouping of older comics that we had purchased lately that good fortune would be nice, but not overwhelming. What has been happening, however, is that we have been purchasing an average of one great collection of comics every single day for the past week. We actually have such a backlog of
Golden Age,
Silver Age, and
Bronze Age
comics waiting to be graded right now that we have been having to set some issues aside! All of those great pre-1980 comics will most certainly soon be graded, but considering that we are already overwhelmed, it makes absolutely no sense for me to go on a comics buying trip right now. Groo #120
|
A secondary reason for me to hang around Denver is that I am spending at least a couple of hours each day sorting through mixed pallets of comics that we have stored in our new Jason St. warehouse. I hit the jackpot at the very bottom of one such pallet yesterday evening, when I uncovered two incredible long boxes. The first contained nothing but scarce variant editions, and the other was full of nothing but rare issues of GROO. I was especially pleased to find in that one box two copies each of
GROO #101-#120.
So you know, those particular issues from the end of the Marvel/Epic GROO run are so hard to find that we still do not have cover scans on a couple of them, even after 15 years of searching! All those GROO issues will now finally be pictured, and will be offered for sale for the first time on our website in tomorrow's
New-In-Stock
link. If you need any of those GROO issues for your collection, I highly encourage you to place your order as quickly as you can after our updated New-In-Stock posts tomorrow, at approximately 11 AM, Mountain Time.

Tank Girl: The Gifting #4 Inc
|
As regards those variant editions, there were two of them where I found multiple copies, so I am going to offer them to you as free premiums for placing an order with us. The first is the extremely limited
Retailer Incentive Edition of TANK GIRL: THE GIFTING #4.
A copy can be yours as a reward for placing any $50 order with us. The second giveaway for today is the equally rare
Retailer Incentive Edition of BADGER SAVES THE DAY #1.
I found slightly more of these, so you can earn one simply by placing any $20 order with us. In both instances, just ask for your free incentive issue in the Notes section of our online order form. Thank you for your patronage!
Before I forget, our 50% off MADNESS codeword is still in effect for you on all of our back issue
comics and magazines.
Only new comics from the past twelve months, CGC-graded issues, and books are excluded from this incredible half price back issues sale. I am keeping this 50%off codeword going longer than I planned, primarily because I need to fund two more positions on Pam's inventory team. Simply put, I am finding great back issues at Jason St., faster than Pam's crew can currently sort and grade them. If you know of anyone living in the Denver area who has comics knowledge, and who might be looking for a new opportunity, have them come by our 2151 W. 56th Ave. warehouse, 9-5, M-F. They should ask for William Murakami, as he can arrange for an almost immediate interview.

Badger Saves the Day #1 Inc

My final item for today is to let everyone know that we are postponing our Jason St. Open House and auction until April 28th. That having been said, I will be working on sorting comics at Jason St. this Saturday from 10 AM - 3 PM, so if anyone would like to come by just to share a cup of coffee with me, I'll be there!
Happy Collecting!
