SECRET WARS #1 - PRINCESS LEIA #3 - Free Comic Book Day Comics Howdy! It is a very dynamic day here at Mile High Comics, as we are trying to keep up with all sorts of developments. I'll begin by showing you the very first rough sketch that we have received of our SECRET WARS (2015)#1 variant cover: Secret Wars #1 Mile High While far from being finished artwork, this rough sketch does provide some initial insights into the way that artist Dale Keown will be designing our 8-issue SECRET WARS connecting cover. All eight issues are currently available for pre-order at $19.95 each from Greg and Mario in our new comics subscription department. This new SECRET WARS series looks to be a huge hit, as we had a record number of pre-orders already booked on all eight issues before we even received this first rough sketch. Speaking of huge hits, Will Moulton informed me this morning that some entertainment websites are already reporting that advance reservations for the upcoming AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON movie are at a pace that will have that highly-anticipated film grossing above $200 million (!) on its opening weekend. I was predicting that this was going to be the highest-grossing Marvel film of all time, but now I'm wondering if it is going to set a new record for any film in history. May is going to be an incredibly wonderful month in the world of comics! With all of the momentous changes that are about to strike the comics world, I highly recommend that you pick up any back issue comics that you might be seeking now, rather than waiting until after AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON releases. Princess Leia #3 Mile High Another highly popular variant that we just received is the second Phantom Group variant of SPIDER-GWEN #1. The first Phantom Group variant was hugely successful, and is now trading on eBay in the $30.00 Range. We have first printings available at $24.95, and second printings at $14.95. Since we did not print these, however, our stock of both of these Phantom Group SPIDER-GWEN #1 printings are very limited.
