50% Off All Comics Sale Ending Soon

Howdy!

Our move out of our old 56th Ave. headquarters building has reached the point where almost all of the comics boxes from which we fill our website orders have now been moved over to our much-larger Jason St. Mega-Store. Those two million "singles" are the heart and soul of our company, so having them in Jason St. is making our move suddenly seem very real to everyone still working at 56th. Our corporate offices will also move to Jason St. in about a week, just as soon as we can erect all of the beautiful new work stations that we received as a gift from one of our neighbors. Suffice it to say, this is all very exciting!

Chuck with the 1st Million Comics!

FYI, the photo above was supposed to be included as a part of Monday's newsletter, and was intended to visually convey for everyone the magnitude of what just one million back issues looks like on shelving. Since that photo was taken we have moved over to Jason St.. yet another 500,000 comics, and have the final 500,000 of our "singles" on schedule to be moved over by early next week. Whew!

Talking down the first of the "ten pack" racks

At the same time as we are moving our "singles", we also have to move the 2,000,000+ comics that we currently have stored in 56th. Ave. that are packaged in packs of ten copies of the same issue (in the same grade). My Uncle Christoph built us 110 immense wooden racks to hold our 10-packs during the summers of 1989, and 1990. He used a total of 40,000 linear feet of 1"X8" pine to build these wonderful 10' tall storage units, each of which easily holds 36,000 comics. The damn things are really heavy (300 lbs), however, so I am taking it easy on our staff by moving them over to Jason St. in groups of four.

Setting up the first of the "ten pack" racks at Mega

While moving those 110 wooden racks will require a lot of strength, packing up the 200,000+ ten-packs from the loaded racks is going to be the most time-consuming chore. We only have 16 days left before we need to be completely moved out of 56th, so I am starting to get quite concerned that we might not have the manpower in place to get our move entirely completed on time. That being the case, if you know of anyone living in the Denver area who would be willing to help us move, please have them stop by our Jason St. Mega-Store. We can offer compensation in either cash, or comics credit, for this temporary labor. We are moving seven days a week right now, so anyone contributing even an hour to our efforts, would be most welcome.

In other news, our 50% off TRUCKLOAD! comics and magazine sale is still in effect for you on all of our millions of back issues. Only new comics, a few variants, trades, hardcover, and our CGC-graded issues are excluded from this half price sale. Please bear in mind that the extremely generous codeword discounts that we have been offering you of late were created to specifically reward anyone willing to place back issue comics orders with us before, and during, our epic warehouse move. Once our move is completed (in just 16 days...), however, we are going to be switching gears dramatically. Our emphasis is then going to return to our more traditional agenda of putting all of our efforts into building the breadth and depth our online offerings, with subsequent diminishment in the number of steep discount sales that we offer. We will still be periodically offering you very attractive sales, but if you can, taking advantage of the very generous across-the-board 50% off savings provided by today's TRUCKLOAD! codeword is definitely a good idea.

My only other news item for today is an offer of a couple of very scarce Marvel variants as Bonus items for placing an order with us over the next couple of days. Our supplies on both of these variants are extremely limited, so if you would like a copy for your collection, please do order right away.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (2015) #1 ROSS DESIGN VARIANT

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (2015) #1 RAMOS VARIANT

Happy collecting!
