LOCAL NEWS - $50 In Free Comics For Voting On March 19th!
Howdy!
The biggest news from
Mile High Comics
today is that the sale of our 56th Ave. building
is scheduled to close a week from today. While it is unlikely that you ever visited that
restricted access facility, it has been the heart and soul of our Mile High Comics mail
order and Internet operations for the past 29 years. If all goes as planned, our ownership
of that historic building will cease next Thursday.
56th Ave Builing
The very positive news for everyone associated with
Mile High Comics
is that our selling
56th and consequently moving our online operations into the rear of our
Jason St. Mega-Store
will instantly retire almost all of the debt burden that we took on during the 1990's to
build the online portion of our company. Not having that bank debt hanging over us will mean
that we will once again have the working capital that we need to vigorously pursue great
collections and warehouse deals. We have had a slew of people who contact us over the past
couple of years with excellent older material that they wish to sell, and I am eager to go
back out on the road and see if I can't pick up some of those deals. Buying old comics is
really fun!
1st 100' Row of Shelves
Before I can move on to that exciting new phase of my life however, I first have to finish
moving 5 million more comics and all of our offices into
Jason St.
We have until April 22nd
to vacate 56th, and we have already begun the process of moving by restructuring the back of
the Jason St. Mega-Store. If you haven't visited the Mega-Store in a while, you might want
to stop by this weekend. The fan response that we have receiving to our latest restructuring
of the store has been quite positive.
42nd Imperial Family
My only other news for today concerns the upcoming
Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire
election for Empress. As many of you are already aware, I am the Prince Royale of the
ICRME
this year. As the #2 on the male side of the organization, it has been my honor to host over
a dozen charity events at
Jason St.
, including auctions, poker games, cosplay drag shows, and
autograph signings. In total, members of our Mile High Comics fan community have contributed
over $20,000.00 to worthy charities represented by the ICRME during 2015/2016, including
Rainbow Alley,
Freedom Service Dogs,
Urban Peak,
Feeding Denver's Hungry,
and several more registered 501-C3 organizations.

Throughout my charitable efforts this year, the one person that I could rely upon to always
help us out at our events was our former Grand Duchess 40, Norrie Reynolds. Norrie is now running
for Empress of the
ICRME,
which would make her the leader of many aspects of our fundraising for
the next twelve months. I think that Norrie would make an excellent Empress, as she is not only
embodies the grace and beauty that are a prerequisite of that critical public role, but she is
also extremely hardworking and totally dedicated to helping the poor and disadvantaged of our
community.

In a nutshell, that is why I have chosen to offer anyone willing to take the time to vote for
Norrie in next Saturday's (March 19th)
ICRME
election a $50.00 voucher good for merchandise at any of our
three Mile High Comics locations.
The only requirements to vote in the ICRME election are that you be at least
16 years of age, have a Colorado I.D., and be able to prove that you live north of Castle Rock.
Voting takes less than minute, and the Capital Hill United Neighborhood (C.H.U.N.) building is
very easy to find at 12th and Williams St., right next to Cheeseman Park. Voting is from
11 AM - 6 PM on Saturday, March 19th. We will have staff conveniently located near the C.H.U.N
center to immediately pass out those awesome $50.00 credit vouchers to anyone who votes for
Norrie. Bring your friends and family members to the polls, as everyone who votes receives a
$50.00 voucher!

I will close today's newsletter by reprinting a small brochure that I created to explain more
about the ICRME,
and Norrie's candidacy. If you have the time, Norrie would genuinely appreciate
your support on March 19th.
Happy Collecting!
