Restock - CONAN, WOLVERINE, X-MEN, GREEN ARROW! Howdy! Chuck and Nanette (click on image for larger view) Day one of my California adventure is now over. The first 80,000 comics that I purchased here in LA are now securely loaded into the 53' truck that we are utilizing to transport this immense collection back to Colorado. While I still most certainly love doing this deal, the combined weight of this collection will be in the range of 40,000 lbs. (18,000 kg), which is definitely a lot of material to hand stack and load into this huge container. I'm still feeling pretty fresh this morning, but I figure that I am going to be pretty darn tired by the time that I finally board the airplane for my return flight home on Monday evening. While I am here in (soggy) Southern California, our inventory teams at home in Denver are performing miracles. Over 30,000 of the choice back issues that I picked up on the East Coast over the past three weeks are now already available for you on our website. We finished up the first main Marvel Comics group, with a heavy emphasis over the past couple of days on WOLVERINE and X-MEN titles. Included with these new additions are a great number of one-shots and mini-series titles from the end of the Marvel alphabet. The same is true for DC, where titles from ACTION - GREEN ARROW have now been supplemented with thousands of additional copies. I am particularly pleased with how many scarce prestige-format DC titles that I was able to find on this last trip where we previously had none in stock. We also just added a slew of old magazines into our listings, including a rare grouping of early SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN magazines.
