Free Comics - Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Harley Quinn
Howdy!
I hope that your week has been as nice as what we're experiencing here in Colorado right now.
Not only did our Broncos just win the Super Bowl, but the weather has finally given us a break
from the cold of the past couple of weeks. For those of you who live in warmer climates having
nice weather roll around is not such a big deal, but a warm and sunny day here in Denver is
a real pleasure in mid-winter.
THERMOMETER
Weather aside, I have continued to make excellent progress this week in preparing us for our
impending consolidation of our 56th Ave. online operations into our
Jason St. Mega-Store.
A big
part of those preparations is for me to clear out all the various nooks and crannies in our 56th
Ave. building, many of which are turning out to hold a remarkably variety of hidden treasures.
Those discoveries are actually a critical element of our move, as we are completely self-funding
our moving endeavor by offering especially good deals on the items that I am finding.
SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN MAGAZINE #2
As a case in point, I discovered this morning that we have a small stack of extra copies of the
incredible
SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN MAGAZINE (1968) #2
in stock in "Good" condition. This magazine
contains an incredible feature-length Spider-Man vs. the Green Goblin story in full color that I
totally loved when I purchased my original copy at the Stars & Stripes newsstand in Frankfurt,
Germany, in 1968. That having been said, my copy of
SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN MAGAZINE (1968) #2
also became
one of the prizes of my personal collection, as both of the SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN magazines were
extremely hard to come by (even back then...), as they were the very first magazines ever published
by Marvel, and thus received poor distribution.
In case you are wondering, the only reason why we have any copies of this rare Marvel magazine in
stock today is because they were included as a part of the legendary
Mile High II collection
of two
million
Silver Age
and
Bronze Age
comics and magazines
that I purchased way back in 1985! They were
returns from newsstands and candy stores from the New York area, which is about the only place in
the country where they received good distribution. Whatever the case may be, I am going to offer you
a chance to pick up one of these very scarce early Spider-Man magazines for only $12, or as a free
bonus if you place any minimum $50 order with us over the next couple of days. Supplies are quite
limited, however, so we can only allocate one copy per client, please.
Before I offer you a couple of other discoveries that I made this week, I did want to quickly mention
that we have a special 50% off SUPERBOWL50! codeword sale in effect for you right now that slashes
your cost on any
back issue comics and/or magazine
purchase in half. Only new comics, a few variants,
and our CGC-graded issues are excluded from this sale. All of our
graphic novels, trade paperbacks, and comics hardcovers
are also on sale right now at 40%-50% off, with those discounted prices posted
for you right on our
website.
Please note, however, that you need to meet our minimum order requirements
for free items based upon the net of your order, after all discounts have been first deducted. Thank you!
GROO ADVENTURER TPB
Moving on to another great bargain, I found an unopened case of pristine copies of the long
out-of-print
GROO THE ADVENTURER trade paperback
from Marvel. You can purchase a NM copy for the
same $12 price as the
SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN MAGAZINE (1968) #2,
or earn a free copy with any minimum $50 order.
Please note, however, that each of our free items requires its own minimum be met, so if you want free
copies of both the
GROO THE ADVENTURER trade paperback,
and the
SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN MAGAZINE (1968) #2,
you will need to
place a minimum $100 order.
UNCANNY X-MEN (2013) #1 DEADPOOL STATE BIRD VARIANT
For those of you who are DEADPOOL fans, we did just also locate a misplaced stack of the
UNCANNY X-MEN (2013) #1 DEADPOOL STATE BIRD
variant edition. These sold out for us in a heartbeat when they were first released, so these are
an exceptionally great deal at $4 , or if you wish, can receive a FREE copy for only placing a minimum
$25 order! We really would like you to own a copy of this cool DEADPOOL variant, so we have intentionally
made this an exceptionally easy requirement to meet...
HARLEY QUINN INVADES COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL SAN DIEGO (2014) #1
Finally, Will Moulton was cleaning the storage room next to his office yesterday, and came across a
small box of
HARLEY QUINN INVADES THE SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON (2014) #1.
This scarce special edition had
a limited print run, and was another of those titles that sold out very quickly. You can purchase a
copy for $8, receive a FREE copy as a bonus for placing any minimum $50 order? With Harley about to
take the movie theaters by storm, we are expecting all of her back issue appearances to quickly rise
in value.
I will close today's newsletter with a quick reminder for fans of 1950's and 1960's
DELL,
GOLD KEY,
Archie,
Harvey, and
Charlton
comics to keep an eye on our daily
New-In-Stock,
and
Premium New-In-Stock,
updates. Pam and Will have
both been adding hundreds of great modern issues each day, but that one big collection of 1950's and
1960's comics that Pam is working on contains some exceptionally nice older books. More importantly,
all of these
Golden Age
and
Silver Age
comics can be yours for half price, as they are all eligible
for the 50% off savings provided by our temporary SUPERBOWL50! codeword.
Happy collecting!
