Huge Private Collection - 20,000 Marvel Comics Howdy! Chuck and Pallets I am back in Colorado this morning, after a wonderful comics buying trip to Indiana. Not only was I able to purchase an exceptionally large Marvel Comics collection yesterday containing over 20,000 different issues (beginning with FANTASTIC FOUR #1!), but my host was also one of the nicest people I that have ever met. From the moment that I arrived, he was there to help me with all of my logistics and travel needs, and he also helped me to carry all 96 of his bagged and boarded long boxes full of comics up out his basement, even though he had recent shoulder surgery. Thank you, Tracy, for being so kind and helpful! In case you are wondering, the bulk of Tracy's 20,000 Marvel comics should be arriving in Denver by truck freight on Friday. We will immediately start grading them, and we should start being able to offer them to you early next week. I did, however, bring back one long box filled with key early issues on the airplane, which I dropped of at our main warehouse last evening, at midnight. Will Moulton will be grading those issue this morning, and we should have them listed for you in our Premium New-In-Stock link by noon, tomorrow. As an aside, if you have been searching for some specific Marvel comics for your collection, I highly recommend that you update your personal Want List on our website. We will be sending out free e-mail notifications each day next week as we grade the comics from Indiana, but it is important to realize that Tracy's collection contains only a single copy of each Marvel issue. You can greatly enhance your odds of being able to obtain those scarce back issue comics if you let us send you a free e-mail notification on the day that they are posted to our website... While we are certainly be looking forward to the Indiana comics being added into our website inventory, several thousand of the great comics that I purchased in Dallas two weeks ago are already appearing in our New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock links. The Dallas comics include not only Marvel back issues, but also a wide spectrum of hard-to-find DC, Charlton, Harvey, Archie, Dell, and Gold Key comics. Pam's inventory team is grading over 2,000 of those comics from Dallas for you each day, so our selections of both older Silver and Bronze Age comics, and comics published during the past twelve months, are expanding rapidly for you. Scott Campbell variant edition of SAVAGE WOLVERINE #1. We are going to stick to our $14.95 price for this variant through Friday, at noon, but after that point we are going to have to reevaluate based on how many copies we have left in stock. With the first printing of the standard edition of SAVAGE WOLVERINE #1 already sold out from Marvel, we have no idea what lies in the future for this key new issue. One more bit of fun news is that J. Scott Campbell stopped by our Jason St. Mega-Store yesterday afternoon, and signed a special numbered edition of our SAVAGE WOLVERINE #1 variant for us, limited to only 200 (!) copies. If you would like to own one of these signed and numbered variants, we have them available right now at $49.95. Each numbered edition comes in a mylar sleeve, with a certificate of authenticity. As with the standard and variant editions, our asking price will rise on these signed and numbered variant editions as our remaining supplies become more limited. Savage Wolverine #1 Signed As regards AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700, we still have not been able to locate a resupply of the standard edition, and our stock on the four variants of #700 is rapidly diminishing.
