WALKING DEAD #2-#15,
IRON MAN (1968) #1-#10, 25,000 More Old Comics!

FF #48
Howdy!

I want to begin today's newsletter by letting you know that my weekend buying trip to Dallas was a wonderful success! I came to Texas hoping to start off my 2013 comics purchasing on a positive note, and had so many great deals offered to me that my rented cargo van is now groaning under the weight of my acquisitions. I do not have an exact count, but my best guess is that I purchased 25,000 comics in total, with approximately 10,000 comics from the past year in one fantastic deal, and 5,000+ Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze Age comics as the sum of eight other major comics purchases. Highlights include FANTASTIC FOUR #48 (VG), IRON MAN #1 (FINE), and the following later issues:

IRON MAN #2 VG
     #2 FINE

Iron Man #1
     #3 FINE
     #4 VG
     #5 GOOD
     #5 VERY FINE
     #6 FINE
     #6 VERY FINE
     #7 VG
     #8 GOOD
     #9 GOOD
     #10 GOOD
     #11 FINE

All of the above Silver Age Marvel comics were purchased out of the trunk of a car, in the parking lot of the hotel where this weekend's North Texas Comic Convention was being held. They were part of a single-owner collection of about 100 Pre-1969 Marvels, the rest of which will be posted for you in our Premium New-In-Stock listing tomorrow morning. I will also be calling Will Moulton this afternoon with the grades on a select listing of a grouping of highly desirable older DC issues, such as ATOM #1, HAWKMAN #1, SHOWCASE #59 (Teen Titans), and several more. These are all issues that sell very quickly for us, so if you are interested in adding one of these gems to your collection, I urge you to act quickly.

Walking Dead #2
The remaining 10,000 comics that I purchased over the weekend were higher-to-find recent issues (published between 1984 - 2011) such as WOLVERINE (1988) #1, WALKING DEAD #2-#15, #24-#26, #52, #54-#60, DARK KNIGHT #1, plus 9,975 other great comics. So you know, the WALKING DEAD issues were among the sharpest copies that I have ever seen, and really should be graded by CGC. I was particularly pleased at being able to find #2-#8 in high grade, as those issues are typically harder to obtain than #1 due to very low initial print runs.

I wish that I could list even more of the comics that I purchased for you in today's newsletter, but there are just too many. I also do still have one last Dallas-area comics supplier to visit today, so I do have to wrap up quickly. I will assure you, however, that I now have the latitude to keep our 30% off HOLIDAY discount codeword in effect for you for another week. That extension will be particularly good for you on Friday and early next week, as we expect the entire shipment of my purchases from last weekend to be delivered in Denver on Thursday. Presuming that we can get some of those issues graded in time, you should be able to utilize the 30% off HOLIDAY codeword on all 25,000 of those comics!

Happy Collecting!

Spidery #700
Martain Variant
P.S. While my purchases from here in Dallas are still in transit, did you notice all the great older comics that Pam entered into our New-In-Stock and Premium New-In-Stock listings for you late last week? She purchased a great older Marvel and DC collection... Will Mouton also added a bunch if very hard-to-find variant editions, including GRIMM FAIRY TALES, WONDERLAND, AVENGERS VS X-MEN, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700, and CAVEWOMAN. Please be aware, however, that our available supplies on most of these variants are quite limited... Enjoy!
