WONDER WOMAN (1942) (#1-329) (DC) #231 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Wonder Woman #231
Guest-starring the Justice Society of America. "This War Has Been Cancelled" is written by Martin Pasko, based on a story by Alan Brennert, and drawn by Bob Brown and Vince Colletta. A wave of peace has swept over the world, ending the hostilities of World War II. The world has a resurrected Egyptian goddess to thank for this new pacifist age. Osira awakes from a 3,000-year sleep to blanket the globe in non-aggression. She starts by replacing the Capitol dome in Washington, D.C. with a glowing pyramid and compelling the lawmakers within to begin advocating making peace with the Axis Powers. The world has gone topsy turvy as even British pilots fire on Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor as they fly to Egypt to uncover the source of this mystery.

Battling their way into Osira's pyramid headquarters, Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman soon confront the curvaceous Egyptian sorceress but find they cannot penetrate her eldritch force fields. But why does the Amazon Princess fight so hard against someone bringing an end to war? Osira's origin holds the answer. Wonder Woman's foe is revealed to be an alien conqueror who seeks to replace this world's rulers with herself. And while Diana Prince looks on in horror, Osira reveals how she's already defeated the Justice Society and then, apparently stolen Steve Trevor's heart.
