|Plot Synopsis: Tomb of Dracula #5|
Written by Gardner Fox, drawn by Gene Colan and inked by Tom Palmer with cover by Gil Kane. What if Dracula could go back through time to the 19th century, to a few days after he was staked by Abraham Van Helsing? Which treacherous enemies would he punish? What new strategies would he conceive? We find out here in "Death to a Vampire Slayer!"
Taj, faithful but mute servant to the lovely Rachel Van Helsing, is pulled into a Demon Mirror by the Lord of Vampires. The unlikely pair must aid each other in a far-off alien landscape when beset by demons. But on the other side of the gauntlet, they find their way to Transylvania, during the 1800s, a time just after Dracula was slain.
Returning to his ancestral land, Dracula terrorizes the countryside again. But in present day, Rachel and Frank Drake, Dracula's erstwhile ancestor, seek out the injured butler of Ilsa Strangeways, the woman who first possessed the black mirrors. Following the undead terror back in space and time to Transylvania, the vampire hunters suddenly run afoul of Lenore, a vampiress who was once beloved of Dracula and who is freed once more. Can Rachel prevail in time to save her ancestor from the claws of the vampire?
