THOR (1962) (#83-125 JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, 126-502) #121 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thor (1962) #121
"The Power! The Passion! The Pride!" is written by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby with inks by Vince Colletta. Loki, the Asgardian God of Mischief, created the Absorbing Man, a villain of immense power, by transforming a hardened criminal named Crusher Creel by means of dark sorcery. Armed with the same ball and chain that once kept him from escaping, the Absorbing Man has proven to be valuable to Loki by distracting Thor on Earth while the God of Mischief worked his plots to take over the throne of Asgard.

Now the Absorbing Man is back and is duking it out with Thor in the bustling streets of New York City. With his ability to absorb any power or strength used against him, Creel is a seemingly unstoppable foe. But noble Thor teaches the villain that power alone is not enough to win the day. There is also skill and strategy and the invigorating energy that comes with being in the right! Meanwhile, a mysterious hooded stranger holds Thor's beloved Jane Foster hostage in a high-rise apartment far above the battle, waiting to make his move! Then, Tales of Asgard presents the continuing odyssey of Thor and his Argonauts as they sail to the edges of the Nine Worlds to stop the coming of Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods! "Maelstrom" is another Lee-Kirby masterpiece!
