CREATURES ON THE LOOSE (1971) #14 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Creatures on the Loose #14
A triple-threat of terror-filled tales highlighting some of the best of Marvel's monster books of the '50s along with a new story cast firmly in that style. Creatures on the Loose like its sister titles Monsters on the Prowl, Where Creatures Roam and Where Monsters Dwell, dug through the archives to find the weirdest menaces and the best stories and art of the horror genre.

First at bat is "What Happened in Dead Storage" which provides a sneak peek at the type of extra-planetary menace Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers would spring on the Fantastic Four just a few short years later. Don Heck pencils "What Was the Staggering Secret of the 13th Floor"--a mix of McCarthy-like Red menace and "It's a Wonderful Life" sentimentality. Finally, your host Headstone P. Gravely shows how "Forewarned is Four-Armed," a cautionary tale of invasion written by Neal Adams (!) and Roy Thomas and drawn by Marie Severin.
