AVENGERS (2010) (#1-34) (MARVEL) #6 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Avengers (2010) #6
The Heroic Age wraps up. Written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by John Romita Jr., Klaus Janson and Tom Palmer. Despite the deceptive cover art (the battle depicted does not appear in the issue), this is a must-have for Avengers fans. Mending a broken timeline is dangerous and complicated business. The stakes are high: do nothing and time unravels before your eyes. Do the wrong thing and your reality is washed away in a temporal wave. So it's with great care that the Avengers proceed into the future to try to fix a rift in time-space created by their old foe Kang the Conqueror.

Ironically one of their key allies in the effort to undo Kang's meddling is Kang himself; or rather Immortus, an older Kang with more experience than his younger, more impulsive self. Another arch-enemy of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Ultron, must be convinced to allow himself to be destroyed by Kang's forces in order to preserve the Avengers' reality. To say this is a test of Tony Stark's diplomacy skills would be vastly understating the obvious! But if Stark succeeds in winning Ultron's aid, will it mean his own future doom?
